SMART METALWORKING: Saving Time & Improving the Quality of Metalworking With a Premium Zero Point Clamping System From INNGRIT
Metalwork processes are usually well-designed, with high-quality machinery and material. However, sometimes the results can still be inaccurate, with deviations, or, in the worst cases, not fitting for assembly or further use. These problems could be caused by small issues, such as the clamping system getting loose during production . To address this problem directly, INNGRIT developed the zero clamping system that can compensate for the deviation of workpieces which could reduce waste in manufacturing effectively.
‘Clamping System’ Factor of Quality Control that the Operator Might Overlook
No matter what method of production you use, whether it’s craftsmanship, manual production, or automation, one thing that remains constant in all forms of work is the ‘clamping equipment.’ The clamping tool has an important role in achieving better efficiency and is also one of the early steps that significantly affect the quality. When the clamping tool can’t operate properly, it will result in machinery damage and increased downtime.
Even if the workpiece clamping has been thoroughly checked before production starts, during actual production, the movement of the worktable or vibrations from machining can cause deviations in clamping. In cases where machines like CNCs do not have Machine Vision or camera systems to monitor changes in the production room, machining cannot adjust to changes that occur during production, leading to wasted time and materials.
To solve the problems, new technology like the Zero Clamping System would be a great choice for manufacturers. Zero Clamping System can make a major difference in product quality and competitiveness for manufacturing businesses, especially the one form INNGRIT.
INNGRIT’s Zero Clamping System, Automatic Compensation for Better Quality
INNGRIT is a Taiwanese company whose expertise is in clamping systems. Since its inception in 2015, it has been developing products to enhance CNC production processes. The team, however, has over 20 years of experience in industrial work.
“Our technology could change the whole CNC industry”
Chuang Hsu Pin, Founder and General Manager of INNGRIT
In workpiece clamping, whether on CNC machines or EDM machines, a clamping system is essential to ensure high-precision work. Traditional clamping methods use tools like vises or 3 jaw chucks, which can easily lead to inaccuracies when used with modern, high-precision, fast-operating machines. Speed and quality are strengths of INNGRIT, particularly in an era facing labor shortages and production delays.
Zero Clamping System from INNGRIT, the Outstanding Outcome for Metalworking Business
Chuang Hsu Pin told us the major differences between the zero clamping system and the others are “precision and repeatability, which result from the high clamping force. This allows the Zero Clamping System to work with large or heavy parts. ”
One of INNGRIT’s zero clamping technologies that make it outstanding for manufacturers is ‘the supporting surface can be regrinding’. The damage on the plate would affect the tightness for clamping and reduce precision which most brands don’t have this feature. The regrinding availability prevents the manufacturer from losing money from changing the whole system. Besides the regrinding, INNGRIT also has its unique automatic compensation system and AIR edition patent that makes part lifting easier. These 3 advantages could give devastating differences in innovation and outcome. One distinction of INNGRIT’s Zero Clamping System is the ability to regrind the supporting surface if it becomes damaged, directly affecting clamping accuracy and stability. Regrinding eliminates the need to replace the system. Additionally, INNGRIT features automatic compensation technology and the AIR Edition Patent, which makes lifting workpieces easier. These three innovations set INNGRIT apart in terms of technology and results.

The interesting solutions from INNGRIT that we would like to share with you are as follows.
Zero Point Plates
An automatic clamping system that operates seven times faster than traditional manual clamping. It is the thinnest plate on the market, suitable for 4-axis and 5-axis machines with limited production space. It features an air-lifting system for convenient workpiece clamping and removal, and easy maintenance. It is ideal for automated production lines in modern factories.
Zero Clamping System
The system consists of various parts such as pistons, splines, base plates, and clamping studs. Customers can choose hydraulic or pneumatic versions based on their requirements. The system comes with an AIR edition patent which uses the compressed air to lift and compensate for deviations, ensuring the workpiece remains centered (zero position) . All of the automatic tasks from this clamping system are mechanical and not electrical. For example, if the surface of the stud is damaged and there is a gap that causes dislocation, this specific patent will automatically compensate and the workpiece will be clamped at the desired position.
“One of the most challenging tasks is that our system has to work with large parts, such as CNC machine gantries. Our system can be as large as 1 x 1 meter. That means we are open to customize the clamping system to meet customer needs, not just offer standard models.” said Chuang Hsu Pin, emphasizing the product’s flexibility.
‘Reduce Time without Reduced Quality’ The True Values from INNGRIT
Using INNGRIT’s Zero Clamping System simplifies operations, reducing setup and production time. If there are concerns about carbon footprint, the system also cuts energy and carbon emissions. For instance, what used to take one hour to produce can now take just half an hour, thanks to its strong and stable clamping.
For factories that want to use the zero clamping system from INNGRIT but worries about the switching cost and skilled labor gap, you can start with 1 machine as a pilot project to evaluate the results first. INNGRIT currently has a distributor and after-sales service in Thailand, supported by Hurco.
